Stay at Home Monday

It's a public holiday over here today, so I'm making the most of it by staying at home, wearing stretchy clothes, wrapping myself up in a blanket and reading Bleak House while I drink relaxing tea. A little bit of r&r is exactly what I feel like indulging in after a draining week (and this incident - my head is still so sore!)

Have you seen these soy candles by Tatine? I love the little notes that describe their names and scents. 'Bron Yr Aur' sounds perfect for this grey Monday: 'stone cottage in the welsh countryside. rain drops + moss. as we walk down country lanes in a landscape where magic fills the air'.

According to statistics, yesterday was the most depressing day of the year. Blue Monday. Why so blue? Because a) it's a Monday b) you realised that Christmas is well and truly over, and c) the new year (and all its pressures) is in full swing. How did you feel? If you're on the blue side of the colour spectrum (or even if you're not) have a nice sit down, pour yourself a bourbon on the rocks and watch the world's happiest dog. Happy Tuesday!
